The basic business portrait, or head shot, is a necessity for the professional.  Head and shoulder portraits are used for resumes, news releases, public relations purposes as well as for social networking needs such as on Linkedin, Facebook, business and personal web sites, blogs, corporate intranets, and just about any other use where a clean positive image is called for.

I offer a reasonably priced service, of great value that is fast.  As a location photographer I bringing to my clients the studio experience.   I go to my clients, they don’t have to come to me.

FAQ’s
Head shots, or basic business portraits as you see them, what are they?
  • A head shot, or basic business portrait, is a vertical format portrait most often done on a photographer supplied background that uses the same set up for each person photographed.  The background may be an environment, however it is the same for all head and shoulder portraits done in the session.  Should you desire different back grounds for a session, please let me know in advance so that we may discuss that option as it considerably changes the parameters of the project.
Can you give me an idea as to the cost of this service?
  • The fee for the basic service is $750.00.  The basic service includes up to five people being photographed during the session.
  • The fee includes one final client selected file per person photographed.
  • Additional persons beyond the five are $135.00 per person.
  • Additional final files beyond the one file per person in the service are $50.00 per file.
  • The above fee covers services rendered with in 30 miles of the 07675 zip code, excluding the five boroughs of New York City.
  • Locations in the five boroughs of New York City are $250.00 additional.
  • Locations beyond 30 miles but no more than 60 miles from 07675 are $100.00 additional.
What can I expect with the basic service?
  • I  set up a small portrait studio at your location where I will photograph up to five persons one at a time in 15 minute intervals for a flat fee.  Normally a day later I will send you a link via email to an on line set of proofs from which you will make a final selection.  You then notify me of your selection which I will process, and provide as a zipped archive of jpg files on line for you to down load, archive, and use.
What kind of time should I allow for this service at my location?
  • The basic service normally requires about 2.5 hours at your location.  There is a maximum period of two continuous hours for photography in the basic service.
Am I limited to five people?
  • The basic service includes up to five people. Additional people will have an additional charge per person.
  • Additional people should be scheduled at 15 minute intervals.
What if I do not have 5 people?
  • The fee for the basic service includes “up to five people” being photographed.
Do you retouch the finished images?
  • I want you to look your best so I do some retouching on the final selected images.   Specifically I look to clean up the skin,  reduce facial lines,  eye bags,  minor fly away hair,  five o’clock shadows and facial fuzz.   Additional retouching is available for a fee if desired.
What size, type and quantity of files do I receive?
  • The files are RGB 5”x7” at 300 pixels per inch, or 1500 pixels by 2100 pixels.
  • There is one file included per person photographed.  Additional files are available for a fee.
How do you deliver the final image files to me?
  • I place them in a zipped folder  online for you to down load, unzip, archive and use.  I send you an email with the web address to that zipped folder.
Do you archive the project for me?
  • No.  It is best that you upon down loading and unzipping the folder, immediately make several copies of the final files for your own archive.
What reproduction license comes with this service?
  • You will receive a five year unlimited reproduction license to the selected finished image for you or your company’s use.
  • I will retain the copyright.
What are your terms?
  • If you have an established relationship with me, I will bill you through your accounts payable department which is payable upon receipt.
  • If you do not have an established relationship with me, payment will be expected that day, or earlier, by cash, business check, or credit card (VISA/MC).
  • Use of any images prior to full payment of the invoice is considered willful copyright infringement.
